I learned a lot about photography in the past few weeks. We learned the concepts of Rule of Thirds, Rule of Triangles, Leading Lines, Perspective, and Repetition. These concepts are used to make an image more appealing.

The Rule of Thirds is where you put a person or maybe a light post of something on right or left side of the image. You want to imagine lines evenly spaced dividing the image into nine even sections. Preferably you would want to have the object at about the intersection of the lines on the left or right, with it’s eyes lined up with the top line. The Rule of Thirds greatly improves how appealing an image can be, but other photography composition concepts can help too.

The next concept is the Rule of Triangles. This is used to create balance within an image. The Rule of Triangles is triangles created by objects in the image. The picture becomes more appealing because there is a sense of balance in the image.

The concept of Leading Lines are very beneficial to an image. Leading lines can show you where the focus of the image is, or where the focus would be. Perspective can be used to make an object look bigger or smaller. This also helps to make an image look better.

The concept of Repetition can also make an image better. Repetition is a continuous pattern in the image or even a pattern that is broken. In conclusion, concepts like Repetition, Perspective, Leading Lines, The Rule of Thirds, and The Rule of Triangles can be very beneficial to how appealing the image is to the eye.

1) I enjoyed the programming unit. I did prefer to use flash because I enjoyed using my imagination to create buttons.

2) The favorite lesson I learned was how to make buttons. I enjoyed learning how to make buttons because I could make whatever I thought of into it.

3) I could see myself using flash to create a presentation for class, using button and creating slides to present.

4) I believe I have developed good habits of using my time as efficiently as possible. I think this because I usually don’t have to come in to work on stuff. I could still work on my time management though. There is nothing that can help me to end on a successful note.

1. I have learned that programming is going to become very important in the future United Stated.

2. I have used the scratch software previously, but I’m not familiar with flash.

3. I am going to turn my work in on time and more more effort into the assignments.

4. My most visible memory was getting stuck in the Chicago-Midway airport from 10am until 6pm.

I enjoyed the Photoshop software. My favorite assignment that I made using this software was the free Photoshop assignment. It was a entertaining software to learn.

I enjoyed the free Photoshop because I was able to use my imagination. I like to use my imagination because it is entertaining to me. I could see myself using Photoshop to create a magazine cover for a company that wants to frame celebrities.

I used my time very efficiently in class. I know this because I completed and turned in all the projects when they were required to be so. This shows that I used my time because if I hadn’t used my time I wouldn’t have gotten anything done. I believed I used my time in the lab well because I didn’t distract my neighbors and stayed focused. For Halloween I dressed up like a trashcan and went to my friends house to get candy around his neighborhood.

I really liked Illustrator and learned many things. Prior to this I hadn’t used Illustrator before so I didn’t know how to use the tools without instructions. In Illustrator I: learned how to use the tools, think my favorite assignment was to create my own symbols, struggled with initially learning the tools, and I could use Illustrator to design symbols for a company that I work for.

I learned the tools in Illustrator by completing the lessons. This helped me learn the tools because the lesson made us use different tools each time. My favorite assignment was creating my own symbols because I was able to use my imagination and I like to do that. I struggled with learning the tools because I hadn’t used Illustrator before it was and assigned. I could use Illustrator for a company I worked for because I could make a symbol to represent the company.

The Illustrator lesson were very enjoyable and I’m glad I was able to learn the program. I now am able to use the tools in Illustrator to create what is asked of me. It is an important program to learn.

1. Lines and different shapes make up vector artwork.

2. Pixels arranged into graphs make up bitmap artwork. 

3. It would be better to use vector graphics with 2D images.

4. It would be better to use bitmap graphics with photos.

5. I can see it being used to create different graphics for companies.

I enjoyed the desktop publishing unit in this class. I enjoyed it because it was fun to learn about how to use a program with a Mac computer and mouse to complete the work, I liked the InDesign software a lot because I enjoy learning how to use new programs, my favorite assignment was making the TJ calendar because I don’t like to write and I felt like I was able to use the most creativity, I could use desktop publishing to make something to advertise a business that I work for, and I believe I use all the time given to me efficiently and well to complete the assignment.

I enjoyed learning about how to use a program with a mac computer and mouse to complete the work because I am not familiar with Mac computers and how to use their software. I am always eager to learn new information, that is why learning Adobe InDesign was fun. I liked the InDesign software a lot because of the same reasons. I enjoy learning how to use new programs because I want to learn how to use Macs. This is because I wouldn’t have used a Mac to learn InDesign if I wasn’t in this class.

My favorite InDesign assignment was making the TJ calendar because I don’t like to write a lot and I felt like I was able to use the most creativity. I feel this way because I could choose the font, color, and back round. The other assignments in the desktop publishing unit also had customization but there was a lot more writing involved. I could use desktop publishing to make something to advertise a business that I work for.

I believe I used my time well because I was able to complete all the projects on time and fully completed. This shows I used my time well becuase if I didn’t I wouldn’t have finished.

I enjoyed learning the desktop publishing unit because I learned a lot and it was fun. I think that is why I was able to finish on time and be completely done when I turned the work in.

1. The primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. 

2. The complimentary colors are the mixture of primary colors (green, purple, and orange.)

3. The Broncos (blue and orange.)

4. The colors in my house work because they aren’t bright.

5. To create a feeling in the person who is going to see it that makes them want to get what you are selling.

6. I think I will use the colors purple and yellow because I like the look and it feels good to my eye.

The most effective speech I heard was the football speech. It made me feel like I was there and inspired me, even watching it. The most effective student speech I heard was by Colin. It was concise and answered all required parts of the prompt given.

I chose this outfit because I was thinking about football practice and decided to wear a lightweight shirt. The shorts were because they were the first ones I grabbed. I don’t have any other shoes and I don’t care what socks I have. The outfits don’t really matter to me.

I remember a speech by MLK jr. It inspired many people of all races. It was memorable because it is an important event in history.
